A Day Trip to the Smokey Mountains

When we woke up this morning it was such a beautiful day Mike decided to take us on a day trip through Cades Cove scenic trail in the Smokey Mountains. We saw cabins and churches from the 1800's and deer and wild turkey. Madison looked for a bear, but we didn't see any today. We had a great time spending time as a family and seeing the beautiful landscape God created.

Happy 4th of July!

My Baby Brother is a Daddy!

Congrats to My little brother Jon and Danielle! JD was born June 23rd at 10:10pm. JD weighed 6lbs. 7oz. and is 18.5in. long. He came by way of a C-section after @ 8 hours of labor. Doctor felt it was best for mom and baby. Both of them and Jon were doing well when we left last night.

Family Fun at the River

We had a great holiday weekend with the entire Harris family! Matt and Kim just bought a great vacation home and invited us all for a fun time at the river. Madison had a blast with her cousins and Hunter couldn't believe he had so many cousins. Thanks Matt and Kim for a terrific weekend!

Madison's School Program

Our little girl had her first school program! I can't believe the school year has come and gone already. Madison has learned so much this year. She was blessed with two wonderful teachers. She has grown physically, academically, and spiritually. I'm so proud of her. Tonight at the program they quoted scripture, said the Lord's Prayer, and sang some really cute songs. Look at me!!!

Hunter has started standing up against the couch by himself. He wants to walk so bad, but he just won't crawl. He just rolls wherever he wants to go.
Madison and her friends washed my car today. They had a lot of fun, but they quit on me half way through so I had to finish it myself.

Vacation in Florida

We just got back from vacation in South Florida. We had a great time visiting with family and friends. Madison and Hunter enjoyed ever minute with Papa and Gammy. Madison didn't want to leave. She said Papa and Gammy would miss her too much. Mike and I enjoyed dinner with our friends Jeremy and Jeanine and their two boys Zack and Ryan. The kids and I spent Monday with my best friend Jill and her little boy Ryan. We are so blessed to have friends that we can go so long with out seeing them and when we're together again it's like we never left. We stuffed ourselves at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Monday night. The kids love their great-grandparents. What a gift to have them in our lives. I really enjoy watching Madison and Hunter love on their great-grandparents! How many kids get that opportunity? I could go on and on, but we enjoyed all of you and miss you already.
