Summer Fun

We have had a great summer so far! Mike and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary (with the kids). We went out to Bone Fish Grill and the kids actually were awesome that night and we all had a great time. Mike and I will get away for a few days in August when we go down to visit Gammy and Papa! The kids and I went to Boone, NC to visit Grandma and Grandpa last week. We had a really great time visiting them and having picnics, riding bikes and swimming. Hunter does have a fat lip in some of the pictures in the mountains. He was racing his sister to the front door and fell flat on his face. He was a real trooper though. He didn't even cry long at all. I can't believe summer is half over.

Hunter's Swim Lessons

Hunter just finished two weeks of swimming lessons with Ms Mildred. He did a great job. Today he went down the slide and swam to me and then went off the diving board, (not willingly) and swam to the wall. He did a great job for only being 2 1/2!!! It makes me feel a little more confident being at the pool with both kids and knowing that they can swim. Madison is going for a second class in July with Ms Mildred to learn rotary breathing!!! I'm so proud of both of them!!!

YES!!! Madison Can Swim!!!

It has been a struggle the past 3 summers to get Madison over the fear of swimming. I searched and tried a few swim teachers but none were hard core enough to get the job done. I asked around and was told that if Miss Mildred couldn't get her to swim, no one can! So we gave Miss Mildred a call and I'm proud to announce that SHE DID IT!!! We are so proud of Madison and all the hard work she has put in this past week and a half!!!

Spring Dance Recital

Madison just had her spring dance recital. The theme was the movies and her class was dressed as Jasmine from Aladin. She did such a great job and Gammy and Papa came to see her dance too. We had a great weekend!

Helping Daddy in the Yard

Mike started clearing out the woods behind our fence. We own the property past our fence, but it is full of trees, shrub, and poison oak. Which Mike got and is still having trouble getting rid of. We still have a long way to go, but he cleared enough out to move the trampoline to the back of the property. The grass under it had died though so Mike and Hunter put down sod in the dead areas.

Easter!

Had some fun today taking the kids pictures in their Easter outfits.

Disney World!

We had a great family vacation in Florida at Disney World. We also got the added bonus of spending a few days with Memaw and Poppy, and Friday Gammy and Papa surprised the kids and came to the Magic Kingdom with us. Madison and Hunter couldn't get enough of the character's this time. Hunter loved Donald Duck the most and Madison milked her birthday for all its worth. She wore her birthday ears everywhere we went and was always being told happy birthday.
Wednesday we took a break from Disney and went to Green Medows Farm with Poppy and Memaw and then hit the orange groves to pick oranges.
Can't wait until the next Disney trip!!!
